Ecoist is a cute café and shop at Sibyllegatan in Stockholm. We went there yesterday and enjoyed a nice afternoon snack.

 

2 coffee, a carob-coconut-bread and a chocolatedream for 135 SEK. I think thats quite ok. The coffee tasted great, we got a refill, the food was really hearty and truely delicious. The staff was really nice even though the guy at the counter didn't know all the answers to my questions. But the good thing was that he just told me he didn't know which milk his colleague used when she prepared the porridge they had in the fridge. That way I could just pick something else to eat with full knowledge of the ingredients. The place was clean and had a nice feel to it. I actually went there for breakfast a year ago and both times I enjoyed my meal. Aside from breakfast and snacks they also offer lunches and in the shop you can buy organic groceries and health care products.

 

They offer different dairy-, gluten-, soy-, sugar-, and nutfree products and it's a great place for those who eat paleo, low carb or have allergies.

 

I can really recommend Ecoist!! But, if you are highly allergic talk to the staff. I don't know if their products may be contaminated with for example wheat or gluten. 

 

 

 

Ecoist är ett gulligt café med butik på Sibyllegatan i Stockholm. Vi gick dit igår och njöt av en härlig fika.

 

2 kaffe, en carob-kokoskaka och en chokladdröm för 135kr. Det tycker jag är helt ok. Kaffet var supergott, vi fick påtår, maten var riktigt mättande och ärligt läcker. Personalen var trevlig även om killen bakom disken inte kunde svara på alla mina frågor. Men det jag tyckte var bra var att han bara sa till mig att han inte visste vilken mjölk hans kollega använt när hon hade lagat gröten som fanns i deras kyl. På det viset kunde jag helt enkelt välja något annat där jag kunde vara säker på ingredienserna. Stället var rent och kändes mysigt. Jag har faktiskt varit där en gång innan och ätit frukost, det var för ett år sen, och båda gånger njöt jag av min måltid. Vid sidan om frukost och fika serveras lunch och i butiken kan man köpa ekologiska livsmedel och hälsovårdsprodukter.

 

Det erbjuds olika mejeri-, gluten-, soja-, socker-, och nötfria produkter och passar utmärkt för den som äter enligt paleo, lågkolhydratskost eller har allergier.

 

Jag kan verkligen rekommendera Ecoist!! Men, är du väldigt känslig/allergisk tala med personalen i förväg. Jag vet inte hur står risken är för att deras livsmedel är kontaminerade med exempelvis gluten.
